Uthirani is a traditional, small ritual spoon used in Hindu worship to hold and sprinkle holy water (theertham) or other liquids during rituals. It is almost always paired with a Panchapathiram and is an essential tool for daily puja and temple ceremonies to maintain ritual purity. A silver uthirani has its own luster and beauty that will make the occasion more appealing. These are usually made of silver either of 80%, 92.5% or 99% purity.
